Cultures
9 reasons to join us in the most exciting Scout Network event to take
place in 2009. Fife has joined up with others around the UK to help organise
a 3 week expedition that will take in Russia, Mongolia and China. Following the
success of Mafikeng, the organising team have now started the many planning meetings
and hours that will be required to put this fantasic plan into action.
RUSSIA
We will tour Moscow, the Russian Capital
home to the Kremlin, Red Square, St Basil's Cathedral and the Bolshoi Theatre.
MONGOLIA
Land of the "Eternal blue sky"
and Chinggis Khan, the Mongol Emperor who formed the largest land Empire the world
has known. We will spend 7 days at a Moot outside Ulaanbaatar the Mongolian Capital,
taking part in activities, service projects and learning to live like a nomad.
CHINA
The "Middle Kingdom". We will
tour Beijing home to the Forbidden City, Temple Of Heaven, Great Wall of China
and some of the most famous cuisine in the world. WHEN:
